Inceno (Startup)
€13,000 funding, WebSummit 2017 presenter
Founded an Irish startup to authenticate restaurant reviews, pitching at major international competitions and securing seed funding.
Situation & Strategy
In 2016, I founded Inceno, an Irish startup dedicated to offering consumers and restaurant managers a verified means of authenticating restaurant reviews. The goal was to build the product from ideation through to a market-ready platform while securing early-stage investment.
Tactics
As Founder and Managing Director, my strategy was to rapidly validate the market with customers, execute a 12-month business plan, and aggressively pitch the startup at national and international competitions to raise capital and build stakeholder connections.
Action
I designed and tested the UX of the mobile and web applications while overseeing brand development. I conducted intense industry research with 140 stakeholders and pitched our deck to investors across multiple startup competitions, including presenting at WebSummit 2017 (the world’s largest startup conference) in Lisbon.
